“Every time you love, you plant a seed. Every time you give a word of encouragement, you plant a seed. Every time you pray for someone, you plant a seed. Every time you have a good thought toward someone, you plant a seed.”
Brandon was fortunate to have many people who poured into his life, either by sharing a kind word, showing interest, exhibiting patience, or giving praise and/or correction (for his many mischievous deeds), while encouraging him along the way.
There are many who played that role (some knowingly and unknowingly), and a few who made a lasting impression that he will cherish forever and never forget. Like his music teacher at Lord Baltimore Middle School, Mrs. Patterson, who taught him to read drum music, and who promised that “joining [her] stage jazz band will change the course of your life”. – And it certainly did.
Brandon acknowledges the late Charles (Terry) Sactcher and Anacostia High School Marching Band teachers Mr. Hannon and Mr. White, for their endearing guidance and invaluable influence, as well as the Band Leader Mr. White, from Friendly High School, for guiding his early musical development.
He recognizes with the utmost thanks and appreciation Ted “Buzzy” Pindell and Ignatius “Iggy” Mason, for accepting his father’s last ask, and charge, when he asked them, “to take care of Brandon” right before his untimely death because he was passing his musical baton to him. In hopes that Brandon would have even greater success in the music industry than he did. They accepted the role and challenge and have unselfishly poured into his life in more ways than one. —and he is forever grateful. Each has genuinely and unselfishly provided invaluable life lessons and shared knowledge of the music industry, in addition to exceptional mentorship, and guidance, in helping to build a great, dynamic team, consisting of the best musicians, vocalists, and producers, in the industry, to help propel him to greatness.
Brandon is also forever grateful to Crystal Williams and Leslie Littlejohn, for their unyielding love and support, as they unselfishly provided countless time, and effort into getting TRIR off the ground and keeping him grounded and focused. He could not have done any of this, without them. Their patience, encouragement, and belief in his talents and aspirations, never wavered, although he knows, he drove them crazy along the way.
